2007 WEST TEXAS CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES RULES

1.  ACA rules and regulations will apply at each event. *
2.  USCF and ACA Category I/II riders must compete in the Expert Category.
3.  Classes and Categories will be run as per the current ACA regulations. *
4.  The highest point total wins the series Overall Championship in each qualifying category and class. 

5. There will be one (1) drop allowed from the rider's total points. The lowest point total for a single Cross Country event. The drop cannot be used on upgraded points. If a rider enters every event comprising the 2007 series, he/ she will receive a 25 point bonus to the series total points. Each rider earning Pay Dirt points will receive a 25 point bonus to the series total points.

6. In order for a class or category to be eligible for overall series status and awards, the class and category must be represented by at least one (1) rider at half (50%) of the events conducted for the 2007 West Texas Championship Series.
7.  A rider must enter at least one half (½) of the events comprising the 2007 West Texas Championship Series to be eligible for overall series awards.
8. If a rider makes the choice to upgrade in category during the series, that rider may carry one-half (½) of their points to the next higher category.  If a rider upgrades past the midway point, only one-half (½) of the points of the best three races may be carried over.
9.  Riders must use the exact same name on all forms throughout the series. (i.e. entry, release, license aps, etc....)
10.  Poor sportsmanship, verbal or physical, may result in disqualification from a single race or the series at the discretion of the Race Official and Series Committee.
11.  Point total ties will be decided by position in Series Final Cross Country event. (Highest placed rider wins series)
12.  It is the responsibility of the rider to check his/ her points to verify they are correct for the events competed in. Contact Series Official if in disagreement.

2nd - 42     5th - 30      8th - 24     11th - 18     14th -12      17th - 6        20th- 1
3rd - 36      6th - 28      9th - 22     12th - 16     15th - 10     18th - 4        21st to last- 1

**Pain on the Plains will be USA Cycling sanctioned and will be exempt from rule 1 and 3.
